Frequently asked questions

Choose Create an account on the sign-in page and fill in your details: your three-part name, email address, phone number, nationality, date of birth, ID card or passport number, and the type of membership you are applying for.

Once you submit the form we email you a verification code. Enter that code to finish creating the account.

The code proves the email address is really yours — it is the address every later notice about your membership and your entries will be sent to. No account is created until the correct code is entered.

A rider competes, a trainer prepares the horse and rider, and an owner is the registered owner of a horse.

Riders and trainers are asked to choose a discipline when they register. Owners are not, because ownership is not tied to a particular sport.

New accounts reach the federation for review before they are activated. You can sign in and see your details in the meantime, but entering an event requires an active membership.

You can sign in with your membership number, your email address or your phone number — the same password works for all three.

Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your email address. We will send you a link to set a new one.

To change your password while signed in, open your account page — you will be asked for your current password first.

In the dashboard open My horses and choose Add horse, then enter the horse's name, date of birth, colour and gender.

Some details are recorded by the federation rather than by you — passport number, FEI number, trainer and discipline — because they are federation-issued.

A newly added horse goes to the federation for review, and cannot be entered in an event until it is approved. You can see its status on the My horses page.

Open the event on the website and choose Enter, or go to My entries in the dashboard and choose New entry.

The form changes with the sport: distance for endurance, class for show jumping, level for dressage, and a team name for tent pegging.

The event must be open for entries, the rider's membership must be active, the horse must be approved, and the class must be one the event actually offers.

The same rider on the same horse cannot be entered twice in the same class.

Entries reach the federation for review. You can follow the status of each one on the My entries page.

Results are published in the Results section of the website once the federation has approved them.
